Iyanla Vanzant and Oprah Winfrey on OWN’s ‘Super Soul Sunday’
Oprah Winfrey’s OWN Network has been hitting highs recently, and this past weekend was no exception. OWN’s new series Iyanla: Fix My Life featuring Evelyn Lozada, had a two-night premiere, Saturday and Sunday, and is the network’s highest rated series debut ever, ranking number 2 in all of cable when it aired Saturday night. Season 2 of Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s premiered Sunday night and was the highest rated episode in the series history, ranking in the top 5 of all cable series during the time period.
Questioning whether the reality TV singing contests have run their course, rapper, musician, songwriter, singer, entrepreneur, actor, DJ and producer Will.i.am is reportedly working on a new technology-themed talent show that “aims to be an American Idol for young wizards.”
Will wants to create a TV platform that will find young geniuses to develop new products and encourage more children to develop “STEM” (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) skills, suggesting that a TV show that sets out to highlight technology stars would have “a more lasting impact, potentially creating a new product and creating jobs.”

When Drs. Marilyn Gaston and Gayle Porter started Prime Time Sister Circles in the Washington, D.C. area, their goal was to create a revolution in health for black women. An extension of their 2001 book, Prime Time: The African American Woman’s Complete Guide to Midlife Health and Wellness, they initiated a series of these three-month programs to encourage healthy eating and stress management in this demographic.

Comedian and “Saturday Night Live” regular Jay Pharoah debuted his POTUS impression on Saturday night’s SNL season premiere, replacing Fred Armisen in the role. 
In the opening sketch, Pharaoh’s Obama reminded voters that while he may have his flaws, the alternative — a Mitt Romney presidency — would be far worse. Jason Sudeikis reprised his awkward-rich-guy impersonation of Romney and Taran Killam rocked a Wisconsin accent to play arithmetic-challenged running mate Paul Ryan. After six years of playing his lucky numbers, Ronald Willis finally hit the jackpot. But this time, he strayed from his usual spots in Rialto to purchase a ticket in Riverside.
Willis’ fiancée says she was the first to figure out he’d won the $120 million Mega Millions jackpot. When asked if he knew he had the winning numbers, Willis was convinced he’d bought his ticket in Rialto, not Riverside.
